Creating a garden is a perfect way to add beauty, enjoy nature and invite visitors to observe like butterflies, birds and bees. However, many butterflies, like the iconic monarch butterfly are in trouble, but you can come to their rescue. After taking the Butterfly Heroes Pledge use the tips below to plant a habitat garden or expand an existing one to provide for these beloved species.

When you do, you'll join the ever-growing Garden for Wildlife movement and can become one of the hundreds of thousands of others who've had their garden recognized by National Wildlife Federation as a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
