Community Engagement

Throughout 2023, the ECHO team and Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge staff worked together to engage with community members who have visited the refuge. Through a series of community engagement events, we gathered ideas from board members, local youth groups, refuge staff, and other refuge visitors to inform the nature play space design.
